CPSC formally acknowledged and thanked Governing Board-engaged Faculty Consultant Prof. Tariq Mahmood for his valuable contribution and service to CPSC from July 2002 to October 2005. Professor Mahmood has completed his three year term as core faculty of the Staff College.
In a special farewell program last 07 October, the Director General Dr. Man-Gon Park expressed his high appreciation to Professor Mahmood emphasizing that the faculty member from Pakistan has served the college competently and has supported him in delivering quality programs and in overcoming many challenges in the last three years. As faculty, he held the positions as Quality Management Representative, Chair of the Training and Development Division, Director of Special Services Division, Chair of the Business and Consultancy Division and Chair of the Personnel Advisory Committee.
In his farewell speech, Professor Mahmood presented the highlights of his End-of-Term Report and submitted the report to the Director General. "CPSC is one of the best and competitive institutions serving for HRD in TEVT in the Asia and the Pacific Region. The real beauty of this institution is the multi-culture input through management and academia," he said.
He returned his appreciation to the chief executive officer Dr. Park for his support. He encouraged the staff to continue working with commitment and devotion.
During his three years, Prof. Mahmood coordinated and co-coordinated 12 regional programs, 10 in-country programs and served as resource person to 6 customized and special programs. He presented papers in 8 international conferences and symposia.
For their part, the CPSC Faculty and Staff paid tribute to Prof. Mahmood's input to CPSC's professional service as one of the senior faculty who has guided the staff in the exercise of their duties and functions. He was presented with a souvenir video of his time with the Faculty and Staff and a ring.
During his term, Professor Mahmood, popular to staff for his adept academic performance and contribution, positive attitude, staff motivation and high regard for team work, has further served the Staff College in an extended capacity for three months. He is being succeeded by the newly-hired GB-engaged faculty consultant Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja from NITTTR-Chandigarh, India.
Professor Mahmood will resume servicing the Government of Pakistan and TVET through his post at the Ministry of Education in Pakistan.
