The Governing Board of the CPSC has extended the term of the Director General, Dr. Man-Gon Park in its 79th Governing Board Meeting on 28 July 2005 in Manila, Philippines.
In a unanimous decision, the Board, led by Hon. Secretary Augusto Syjuco, Chairman, accepted Dr. Park's intent to renew after signifying his availability to serve for another two years in completion of his 5-year term as Director General of CPSC.
Dr. Park expressed his commitment to the Board to introduce more innovative strategies in human resources development through TEVT and to continue his active leadership in the service of the member countries.
The Chairman of the Board, in recognition of the present leadership of Dr. Park, stated that the Director General has given life to CPSC. As a moving force, he expressed confidence that the Director General will continue taking CPSC steps ahead of all other national efforts in TEVT.
The Director General was appointed as Director during the 73rd GBM on 20 June 2002. After satisfactory results of evaluation, Dr. Man Gon Park was confirmed as the 8th Director of CPSC effective 12 August 2002. His title was updated to Director General on his second year in the Governing Board’s support of his leadership and highly important external functions.
The renewal provides for the completion of the five-year term allowed, per CPSC rules and regulations.
