In a landmark mission and activation of cooperation and support from partners from the United States, Dr. Man-Gon Park, Director General and CEO of CPSC, visited the state of Michigan, United States of America and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Michigan University (CMU) on 20 February 2006. CMU was represented by Dr. Michael Rao, University President.
CPSC and CMU agreed to cooperate, plan and implement mutually beneficial activities and projects in the field of ICT through participation to organized education and training programs, collaboration and support in building in-demand information systems and accomplishing ICT development projects in Asia and the Pacific region, cooperation in consultancy and development of ICT, knowledge, technologies and facilities sharing and promotion of ICT- industry-institution linkage in the service of Asia and the Pacific region and the USA.
The United States is one of the founding charter member countries of CPSC which established the College in 1973.
